For several decades our society has been devaluing personal responsibility and making excuses for irresponsible behavior. We even invent psychological disorders in order to excuse bad behavior. Exodus reminds us the God of the Bible has always held people responsible for their actions and possessions. For example, if an Israelite knew his ox had a habit of goring people, he was responsible for the consequences if he didn’t confine his ox. Likewise, Romans 13 teaches us we are responsible for how we treat others. This means we should also teach others to take responsibility for actions. Learn more in the following video:
