We live in a narcissistic society where people think about themselves. This is reflected in social media where many posts are about self: “Look at me do this. Look where I am. This is what I had for breakfast.” As Christians we should think differently. Philippians 2 tells us to regard one another as more important than ourselves.
Exodus 32 contains perhaps one of the most radical examples of putting others ahead of ourselves. The Israelites sinned. Moses asked God if He was willing to forgive the Israelites. If God was not willing to forgive, then Moses wanted to be blotted out of God’s book. This shows Moses was thinking about others, not himself. Learn more in this video:
