Within Christianity there is some debate and confusion about God. Is He gentle or harsh? Some people believe God is always gentle and not capable of being harsh. They refuse to believe God would send people to an eternal punishment. Other people look at God as always harsh and judgmental. Exodus 34 teaches us He is both gentle AND harsh.
