Within Christianity we have many disputes about what is right and wrong. Part of the problem is sometimes we overstate God’s commands. The Bible warns us not to do that. Exodus 30 tells us the priests had to wash before they entered the tent of meeting or before approaching the altar. Then Mark 7 tells us by the time of Christ, the Jews had exaggerated this command to wash into a long list of washing requirements that went way beyond what the Law of Moses actually required. Jesus told the scribes and pharisees they were wrong to place these demands on the Jews, and this is a warning to us not to do the same thing. Learn more in this video:
